Who We Are


    Cardinal Point Advisors was founded by a former Fire Captain who experienced the failures of the workers’ compensation system firsthand. After sustaining a serious on-duty injury, he encountered the same delays, denials, and administrative red tape that so many first responders face. Determined to make the process better for others, he created CPA to ensure that no injured responder has to navigate the system alone.

     

    Today, CPA is staffed by former first responders who understand both the job and the system. This shared experience fuels a relentless commitment to getting injured workers the care, support, and outcomes they deserve.

OUR MISSION

To advocate for California’s injured first responders by removing barriers to medical care, guiding them through the workers’ compensation process, and fighting for fair, timely outcomes that protect careers and livelihoods.


WHAT WE DO

- Advocate for injured first responders through every stage of their workers’ compensation           claim
- Secure timely access to medical care, including diagnostics, surgery, and therapy
- Eliminate unnecessary delays and denials in treatment approval
- Prepare members for QME exams and legal challenges to protect benefits
- Support union and association leaders in helping their members through the process
- Facilitate access to trusted outside resources including mental health services, retirement       specialists, benefits advisors, and more — whatever the situation requires
